Prior authorization to enter the U.S.
There are 35 countries called "visa-waiver countries". Citizens of these 35 countries do not require a visa to visit the U.S. HOWEVER they MUST register online prior to traveling. Citizens from these countries could be prohibited from flying to the U.S. starting in March if they fail to register online before heading to the airport. The Department of Homeland Security is hoping visitors with immigration issues or criminal records will be flagged before they enter the U.S.
